Loss of hearing affects people from all walks of life including many famous names.
The Who’s Pete Townsend has often spoken of his hearing loss primarily from performing onstage with the volume too high. Above all with Keith Moon’s hammering of cymbals in the 60s and 70s.
Recently, another famous name, Huey Lewis suddenly found his hearing impaired. As a result, he could not only not hear properly, but had to cancel a 40 plus date tour of the United States. And for good measure he also suffers from tinnitus.
At the beginning of February Huey Lewis gave an interview to the San Francisco Chronicle. He talked about what happened and the effect on his life over the last year.
